Voted "Top Restaurant in the South Bay" in the 2002, 2004, 2005 2006 and 2007 Zagat Survey, Restaurant Christine offers contemporary cuisine laced with flavors of Tuscany, Provence and the Pacific Rim.

Restaurant Christine opened its doors to the community nine years ago, serving a menu combining Chef Christine Brown's studies of traditional French method with her love for lively recipes of the Mediterranean and the Far East. Chef Christine, owner of Restaurant Christine, General Manager Claudia Molera, and Restaurant Manager Guy Conigliaro strive to create not just a restaurant but a warm and welcoming dining experience. Customers often dine with Chef Christine two or three times a week, enjoying something new with each visit. Fresh and exciting appetizers tease the palate into anticipation of delectable entrees, a feast for the eyes as well as for the mouth. Desserts are seasonal and fun, mixing comforting favorites with new and different sweets.

While the menu and atmosphere are ample reasons to return as frequently as one can, the experience is completed by the service. Enthusiasm for the restaurant reflects in the faces and demeanor of its employees. Knowledge and professionalism are central qualities of the experienced staff. It is remarkable that many of the employees have been with Chef Christine for as long as nine years.

Claudia

 

General Manager Claudia Molera came to the United States from Berlin, Germany. In Germany Claudia was professionally trained as a confectioner. She then attended a two year program in hotel management. Upon graduation, Claudia moved throughout Europe working at various high end restaurants. While vacationing in California in 1996 Claudia met her future husband, Michael, and they settled in Redondo Beach. They have a beautiful daughter named Sophia. Claudia has been an integral part of the Restaurant Christine family since 2003.

 

Guy

 

A native of Long Beach, California, Guy has been working in restaurants his entire career. He is a 2003 graduate of the California School of Culinary Arts, Le Cordon Bleu Program in Pasadena. Guy has served in every capacity at Restaurant Christine since the doors opened in 1996 - from bartending to serving, catering and cooking. While working at Restaurant Christine full time he also worked in the kitchens of Bono’s, Tantalum, and Frenchy’s Bistro. He was the Executive Chef at the Red Car Brewery in Old Town Torrance before Christine asked Guy to become the manager at Restaurant Christine.

Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Dinner is served seven nights a week, starting at 5 p.m. Periodic wine dinners and monthly cooking classes are also held in the restaurant's main room. Please call 310.373.1952 for information and reservations.
